中国还是米国，亚洲还是欧洲，从驾校到陪练，祖辈传下来的，网上广为传颂的，教科书式经典的左右后视镜调整方法都要求镜子里能看见车身的一部分（从1/4到1/3不等），这种调整方式的最大问题就是浪费了视野，扩大了盲区。
如今更安全的做法是把两侧镜子向外调，直至看不见车身，但是也不要太往外。（我说的够简单了吧，比下面图上的教程简单多了。）
现在开上路看看，盲区大大减小，基本没有，后车总会在你的三个镜子中交替出现。后车即使驶入你的盲区你也能看见它的一部分。

It may come as a surprise to learn that there is a better way to set the rear-view mirrors in your vehicle.
Don't lose sight of the facts
If you look in your side mirrors and see the sides of your vehicle, then you may be doing it by the book, but pundits will argue that you're doing it wrong.
Although this first method is recommended at most driving schools, it creates a considerable overlap between the side and centre rear-view mirrors - which is unnecessary - and leaves blind spots on both sides of your vehicle.
By adjusting your side mirrors as described below, you won't lose sight of what's behind you and you'll always know what's going on beside you.
Give it a try
Your interior rear-view mirror
Fairly obvious, the positioning of your inside rear-view mirror should allow you to see out of the rear window. Remember to always sit upright and in a comfortable position when adjusting the mirror.
Your side-view mirrors
For the driver's side mirror , place the side of your head against the window, then adjust the mirror until the side of your vehicle comes into view.
For the passenger's side mirror , while you're sitting in the driver seat, lean to the right so that your head is in the car's centre line. Then adjust the mirror until the side of your vehicle comes into view.
If all three of your mirrors are aligned correctly you should be able to see a vehicle directly behind you leave your rear-view mirror and seamlessly transfer to one of your side view mirrors.
Correct use of all three of your rear-view mirrors should also prevent you from getting in another driver's way or cutting anyone off.
This method may take some time to get used to, but quickly becomes second nature. Give it a try and happy lane-changing.
