Volkswagen Direct-Shift Gearbox to be locally produced in China next year

Shanghai. December 13, 2007; (*****) Volkswagen' most advanced gearbox, DSG (direct-shift gearbox) will be locally produced in China's northeastern city of Dalian next year, local newspaper Western China City Daily reported today. The gearbox is expected to be equipped on the future version of Volkswagen's Magotan 2.0 TSI and Tiguan vehicles, the report said. Currently many Volkswagen models, including Golf GTI, Audi TT, Audi A3, have been equipped with DSG gearbox. Volkswagen Group's DSG combines the ease of an automatic car with the efficiency and flexibility of a manual, the company explains. While a conventional gearbox works with one clutch, the DSG transmission has two - one in gear, while the second has the next gear pre-selected. When the gears need to shift, the second clutch takes the load, while the first pre-selects the next gear. The whole process takes no more than three to four hundredths of a second. DSG transmissions also have a 'tiptronic' function, allowing gears to be manually selected. There are several benefits of the system. These include improved acceleration and refined uninterrupted driving.

看到国外论坛有换成功的, 确实牵扯很多, 传动轴也要换, 重量重新匹配问题倒不是特严重, 咳~ 其实不过是我一个美好愿望罢了, 04归来觉得玩车用CVT就好象用拐棍打高尔夫, 太对不起原车动力了.

目前DSG只装备了AUDI的 TT 和 S3

不过换6MT是完全可行的,不过前提是车子专门用来玩,还要充当日常代步工具的话太累了.
