　　Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it.
　　生活有10%靠你创造，而有90%则看你如何去对待。
　　One day I hopped1) in a taxi and we took off for the airport.
　　一天，我跳进一辆出租车，出发去机场。
　　We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes2)， skidded3)， and missed the other car by just inches！ The driver of the black car whipped4) his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy； and I mean， he was really friendly.
　　我们正在自己的车道上前行，突然，一辆黑色的小汽车从我们正前方的一个停车位上蹿了出来。我的出租车司机猛地踩下刹车，车子侧滑，和另外一辆车擦边而过。可那辆黑色小汽车的司机却立马扭头，开始冲我们大喊大叫。我的出租车司机只是笑了笑，向那个家伙挥了挥手--我是说，他真的非常友好。
　　So I asked， “Why did you just do that？ This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital！” This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call， “The Law of the Garbage Truck.”
　　我于是就问他：“你刚才为什么会那样做呢？那个家伙差点撞坏你的车，把我们送进医院！”就是在那个时候，我的出租车司机教我懂得了一个道理，我现在称之为“垃圾车法则”。
　　He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage， full of frustration， full of anger， and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up5)， they need a place to dump it and sometimes they‘ll dump it on you. Don’t take it personally. Just smile， wave， wish them well， and move on. Don‘t take their garbage and spread it to other people at work， at home， or on the streets.
　　他解释说，许多人就像垃圾车一样。他们满载着垃圾、挫败、愤怒与失望四处奔跑。当他们的垃圾堆积到一定程度以后，他们需要一个地方倾卸，有时候，他们会把它们倾卸到你身上。遇到这种情况，不要把它们接过来。笑一笑，挥挥手，祝他们好运，然后继续前行。别接收他们的垃圾，然后散布给你的同事、家人或是路人。

　　The bottom line6) is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over7) their day. Life’s too short to wake up in the morning with regrets， so...“love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don‘t.”
　　简单地说，成功之人不会让垃圾车主导他们的生活。生命太短暂，不容你早上带着遗憾醒来，所以……“爱善待你的人，而为没有善待你的人祈祷。”
