VW的车,尽管都叫4Motion, 针对具体车型实际上是不一样的!
横置发动机的车型,比如GOLF, Jetta/BORA, Touran, Passat B6等是用 Haldex耦合器 四驱系统的;
而纵置发动机的车型, 比如 Passat B5, Toureg等,虽然也标4Montion, 实际上是用Audi Quattro(Torsen)四驱系统;
同样道理,Audi A3, Audi TT等横置发动机的车型,四驱系统尽管也标Quattro,但是实际上还是Haldex耦合器 四驱系统的

Haldex公司已经向许多汽车供应了这套可控四轮驱动系统,大众旗下的VW、Audi、SEAT、Skoda等,以及通用的Saab 9-3, 还有Volvo上也应用了这套产品!
现代公司也将采用这套四轮驱动系统

Passat B5我不知道,不过Touareg是绝对没有采用Torsen的!在我的印象里,VW没有任何一款车型采用了Torsen!

大众的途欢?我看还是算了吧。有米的人干脆就买小陆虎或途锐算了,要不丰田的陆巡也不错。途欢的价格低版也要26万以上,高的要32万左右,太贵了,而且也就是普通的适时或全时四驱。如果遇到路滑、陷车,没有锁定四驱功能那就是白给。与其花那么多钱买这个,还不如买新CRV、逍客,或者越野性非常不错的维特拉,还有中差锁,比途欢强一百倍!

quattro generation IV
Starting from 1996 on
***** / ***** / ***** (B5 platform), ***** / ***** / *****, ***** / ***** with both manual and automatic transmissions. Also on *****, where it was initially referred to as Syncro, but by the time it reached US soil, it had been re-christened 4motion. Also used on the ***** and *****; also the ***** where they use separate transmissions, PTU's and front axles.
Manually locking rear differential was replaced by "electronic differential lock" (EDL) (Difflock imitation, detects wheelspin via ABS sensors and applies brakes to the one spinning wheel, thus transferring torque via open differential to the opposite wheel which has more traction)*****. EDL works at speeds up to 80km/h (50mph) on all quattro models (on non-quattro models: up to 40 km/h (25 mph).
What: Permanent all wheel drive.
***** center differential, 50:50 split, automatically apportioning up to 80% of torque transfer to either axle.
Open rear differential, electronic differential lock (EDL).
Open front differential, electronic differential lock (EDL).
How: In on-road conditions the car will not move if all four wheels lose traction. Torsen effect with one wheel in the air will not happen on quattro IV because EDL will apply brakes to individual spinning wheel and Torsen differential will transfer the majority of torque to rear axle.
In off-road conditions (wheels in the air and an obstacle restricting the vehicle from moving forward) the car will still move when one front and one rear wheel lose traction. EDL will brake the single spinning wheel on an axle, transferring torque to the opposite wheel.
However, the Electronic Differential Lock is not a replacement for mechanical differential lock. If the braked wheels start to overheat, the EDL will temporarilly be disabled, and the car will end up stationary, spinning those wheels which have no traction.

Touareg用的不是haldex四驱系统, 结构上应该算是第四代的quattro IV: 50:50split
Q7用的是第五代quattro, 和RS4一样的rear biased 40:60 split
